Mortal Kombat II Pop Up Stunt Travelling Across Toronto Next Month

In celebration of Mortal Kombat II arriving in theatres on May 8, a pop-up spectacle is travelling across Toronto in May.
From May 2 through to May 8, Warner Bros. Pictures Canada is hosting a series of Mortal Kombat II in-person stunts. Framed around the iconic fighting champion Kung Lao, fans can see a car that’s been dramatically sliced in half by his signature razor-brimmed hat.
The stunt is brought to life as molten metal is exposed and embers shoot from the vehicle’s roof. Since it’s inspired by Mortal Kombat II and the IP, it’s only natural that Warner Bros. Pictures Canada goes big on the theatrics.
Here is when you can see the Mortal Kombat II stunt throughout May:
- May 2 – 400 Front St W Parking Lot (12 pm – 7 pm)
-
May 3 – 400 Front St W Parking Lot (12 pm – 5 pm)
-
May 8 – 299 Queen St W Parking Lot (10 am – 3 pm)
-
May 8 – Cineplex Queensway Parking Lot (5 pm – 10 pm)
-
May 9 – Cineplex Queensway Parking Lot (12 pm – 10 pm)
-
May 10 – Cineplex Queensway Parking Lot (12 pm – 5 pm)
Fans attending the stunt can find other hidden easter eggs and QR codes that lead to a fan contest. Warner Bros. Pictures Canada is offering $2,500 in gas cards awarded to winning participants.
Mortal Kombat II makes its way to theatres on May 8th. The sequel to 2021’s Mortal Kombat sees the ensemble cast, comprising Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Ludi Lin, Mehcad Brooks, Lewis Tan, Damon Herriman, Chin Han, Tadanobu Asano, Joe Taslim, and Hiroyuki Sanada, returning to the screen. Karl Urban joins the cast as beloved Johnny Cage, as Earthrealm must once again battle in a tournament.
