Apple TV has announced Disavowed, a new thriller series starring James Marsden of X-Men fame.

In a recent press release, Apple TV announced that Disavowed revolves around CIA Case Officer Brad Griffin, played by Marsden. Griffin is abruptly fired in the middle of a global hunt for an assassin accused of murdering his partner. He then takes matters into his own hands to track down the assassin and claim the $15 million federal bounty.

Disavowed is helmed by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, both of whom worked on Iron Man and Uncharted as writers. The series will be executive produced by Marcum, Holloway, Tom Spezialy and Marsden. Blue Marble Pictures, the company behind Apple TV’s Pachinko, will produce. Theresa Kang and Caroline Garity are serving as executive producers.

Working on Disavowed, this is the second Apple TV project between Apple and Marsden. Currently, the actor is playing Owen Ashe in the second season of Your Friends & Neighbors

Unfortunately, there’s no word on when Disavowed may premiere on Apple TV. The company has also reserved any news on additional cast members. So, those eager to learn more will have to wait until the project is closer to streaming on the service.

In Canada, Apple TV costs $14.99 CAD per month. Alternatively, a subscription can be obtained through Apple One, which starts at $22.95 CAD per month and combines Apple TV with up to five other services.
