Public Mobile’s $35 Plan Now Works in the US and Mexico But Loses 10GB of Data
Telus-owned prepaid brand Public Mobile has tweaked its plans again, as expected. Last week we told you its entry plan was set to see reduced data due to the end of a promo today, and that happened as expected.
Here are Public Mobile’s plans as of May 12, 2026:
- $22 talk and text 4G
- $25/3GB 4G
- $27/10GB 4G
- $30/20GB 4G
- $35/25GB (was 35GB) 5G Canada-US-Mexico (was just Canada) + 1000 int’l minutes
- $40/75GB 5G Canada-US-Mexico 5G + 1000 int’l minutes
- $45/100GB 5G Canada-US-Mexico 5G + 1000 int’l minutes
- $50/175GB 5G Canada-US-Mexico 5G + 1000 int’l minutes
So what changed? The entry $35 5G plan saw its data cut by 10GB to 25GB, but now includes usage in the US and Mexico. Again, this number matches the data from Freedom Mobile. But now all 5G plans include 1,000 international minutes, which could be a selling point for those that need to call overseas often from Canada.
If you’re going to pay $35 per month, Freedom Mobile’s similar plan includes 1GB of monthly Roam Beyond data, plus talk, text and data for use in Canada, US and Mexico.
