Telus-owned prepaid brand Public Mobile has revamped its 5G plans on Thursday, introducing some “limited time offers”.

What we’re seeing is an increase of data ranging from 25GB to 50GB. Here are Public Mobile’s plans as of May 21, 2026:

You can see data amounts now start from 100GB for the $40 plan, while we’re seeing step increases to 150GB and 200GB for the $45 and $50 plans. For the average user, 100GB to 200GB is a lot of data to use every month.

Public Mobile has recently been matching the pricing and data levels of Freedom Mobile, though it notably lacks the global roaming included in Freedom’s plans. With this latest update, however, Public Mobile has pushed ahead by offering more data than Freedom Mobile across its equivalent price points.

Last week, we saw the $35 5G plan lose 10GB of data but gained US and Mexico roaming.
