South of Midnight Wins Game of the Year at Canadian Game Awards 2

Last night, the 2026 Canadian Game Awards were held live in Toronto and streamed live worldwide. Here, Montreal-based studio Compulsion Games won ‘Game of the Year’ for 2025’s South of Midnight.
Throughout the evening, developers, creators, media, and general attendees gathered at the John Bassett Theatre to celebrate Canadian-made games. Throughout the evening, many awards were presented across a range of categories. Hosted by famed Canadian voice actors Mark Meer and Jennifer Hale, the evening was a special celebration.
A highlight of the evening included Victor Lucas, creator of the Canadian TV show Electric Playground, winning the Game Changer Award.
