Apple has officially announced the 12 winners of its 2026 Apple Design Awards, celebrating outstanding achievement, innovation, and artistry in app and game development.
Selected from a global pool of 36 finalists, one app and one game were chosen across six categories, ranging from inclusivity to visual graphics. The annual awards highlight developers who push the boundaries of Apple’s technology ecosystem, including new experiences tailored for the Apple Vision Pro and Mac.
“This year’s Apple Design Award winners are a remarkable reflection of how developers are creating exceptional experiences,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, in a statement on Tuesday. “Whether delivering intuitive features or exciting gameplay, these apps and games represent the very best of what our platform makes possible. We are incredibly proud to celebrate these developers and are grateful for their commitment to enriching the lives of people everywhere.”
There was one Canadian winner in the Interaction category–Sago Mini Jinja’s Garden by Toronto-based Sago Mini (a subsidiary of Toca Boca).
The winning entries will be formally recognized during Apple’s upcoming WWDC26 set to kick off next Monday.
