Apple Music Adds Massive Widow’s Bay Playlist With Over 800 Songs

As the first season of Widow’s Bay concludes, Apple Music has added a massive playlist in dedication to the series. Over 800 songs can be found as part of ‘Patricia’s Sunset Cocktail’, a reference to the show’s fourth episode.
This week, the official Apple TV account responded to a user on X (formerly Twitter) who said Widow’s Bay has made them add “Rhythm of the Night” to their summer playlist. “Such a great track. Here are 299 more. Patricia’s Sunset Cocktails Playlist is now available,” the official account responded. A link to Patricia’s Sunset Cocktail playlist was also provided.

While the post says 300 songs make up the playlists, there are in fact over 800 tracks available to listeners. Songs such as The Loco-Motion by Kylie Minogue, Dancing Queen by ABBA, Go Your Own Way from Fleetwood Mac, and, of course, Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up are all featured on the playlist.
The playlist is created by “Patricia,” whose username is humorously @mayoroffice. The description of the playlist simply reads, “Dale, here is the first batch. – Patricia.” A lot of this is a clear reference to Widow’s Bay , and more specifically, its fourth episode titled ‘Beach Reads’.
Widow’s Bay is an Apple TV original series, starring Matthew Rhys as Tom Loftis, a skeptical mayor of a New England town. The series also stars Stephen Root, Kate O’Flynn, Kevin Carroll and Dale Dickey. In the series, Loftis is thrown into the deep end as the city’s alleged curse begins to surface more and more. As supernatural events begin to occur, Loftis must grapple with this reality while attempting to revive the island as a tourist attraction. The series blends comedy and horror effortlessly thanks to series creator Katie Dippold, who is best known for working on Parks and Recreation.
This season of Widow’s Bay concludes on June 17th. However, the series has been picked up for a second season.
Apple TV is available in Canada for $14.99 CAD per month.
