iPhone 18 Pro Details Leaked by Apple Supplier Tata Electronics
A massive ransomware attack on Tata Electronics, one of Apple’s biggest contract manufacturing partners in India, has exposed confidential iPhone 18 Pro component lists and prototype testing photos on the dark web, Reuters is reporting.
The breach was carried out by a notorious ransomware syndicate known as World Leaks. The group successfully exfiltrated over 630 gigabytes of data, encompassing more than 200,000 files from Tata Electronics networks.
After extortion attempts failed, the group published the trove of data on its dark web repository, dealing a massive blow to Apple’s legendary culture of corporate secrecy.
For years, Apple has kept its precise vendor selections locked tight. While the public knows who handles major items like custom processors, Apple actively hides the exact layout of its main circuit boards, battery assemblies, and advanced camera modules. These specifics are considered massive trade secrets.
Documents verified by Reuters reveal at least six extensive files that completely map out the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro component network. The data clearly states which specific third party companies won the contracts to manufacture internal chips, camera elements, and power units.
Furthermore, the leak exposes where Apple uses multiple vendors to create price competition, and where it relies dangerously on a single supplier. This creates a roadmap for competitors looking to study Apple’s logistics, counterfeiters trying to copy parts early, and rival companies looking to squeeze Apple by targeting its exclusive vendors.
Beyond dry spreadsheets and manufacturing text files, the leak includes actual visual evidence of the unreleased hardware. The stolen archive features real photos taken inside a Tata plant earlier this year.

These images show a grey prototype handset undergoing drop testing and physical durability evaluations. The phone in the pictures matches typical Apple styling, displaying a standard slab shaped body, the traditional central logo, and a prominent triple rear camera array.
The leak also compromised documentation tied to other titan semiconductor players linked to Tata, including Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company and Qualcomm, as well as separate automotive data belonging to Tesla.
