Telus Is Raising Wireless Prices $5 for Some Customers, Just Like Rogers

Telus is the latest wireless carrier to bump up prices, with a $5/month increase hitting a small number of customers next month. The move mirrors similar increases Rogers and Fido have already made.

The increase only affects customers on select legacy month-to-month rate plans. If you activated, changed, or renewed your plan on or after April 1, 2026, you’re not affected, iPhone in Canada can confirm, unlike what some people are saying online.

The price increase is coming in July and only applies to a small number of customers still on legacy month-to-month plans. Telus confirmed to iPhone in Canada on Monday (June 29) that anyone affected can sidestep the $5 bump entirely by moving to one of its current in-market plans instead. Those plans come with a 5-year rate lock, data at 5G+ speeds, and unlimited Canada-wide talk and text.

Now, after Rogers and Fido notified customers of wireless price increases, the CRTC sent out a warning letter. We have a hunch the CRTC might send one to Telus as well.

So what should you do now? Check your Telus (and likely Koodo as well) billing statement and let us know if are going to be affected by this price increase next month.
