Don’t Switch Yet: Fido, Virgin, and Koodo Prices Are Up $5 for July
We’re well into July so let’s take a look at what the plans are from Fido, Virgin Plus and Koodo compared to last month. With summer underway, there aren’t many changes, except for price increases across the board.
Here are plans from Fido, Virgin Plus and Koodo in July 2026 below, for bring your own device customers and after autopay discounts:
Fido
- $45/20GB (was $40)
- $50/60GB (was $45)
- $55/60GB (was $50) Canada-US-Mexico (roaming just for 12 months)
Fido increased prices by $5 per month compared to June.
Virgin Plus
- $45/20GB (was $40)
- $50/60GB (was $45)
- $55/60GB (was $50) Canada-US-Mexico
Virgin increased prices by $5 per month as well.
Koodo
- $45/20GB (was $40)
- $50/60GB (was $45)
- $55/60GB (was $50) Canada-US-Mexico
- $60/100GB (was $55)
Koodo also increased prices by $5 compared to last month.
What are the odds that these Big 3 flanker brands are following each other so closely with $5 price increases across the board? Expect plans to drop in price or gain more data once we hit back to school season next month. Again, this is the worst time to get a new cellphone plan (wait for Black Friday).
