Buying a premium smartphone can be a significant cost, making affordable device financing options an important consideration for many customers. Bell’s Flex Option was designed to help reduce monthly device payments by deferring part of the device cost until after the initial financing term.

Bell has now enhanced the Flex Option experience for customers on Ultra plans – giving them greater choice and control over premium smartphone purchases.

Lower Monthly Payments, More Flexibility with Flex Option

With the latest enhancement, customers who choose the Ultra plan with Flex Option are now eligible at the end of their two-year term to return their device at any time, or take up to 24 months to pay off the deferred amount of their device, interest free. Customers on Select plans continue to have the option to return their phone or take up to 12 months to pay off their deferred amount at the end of their two-year term.

Importantly, this does not extend the wireless service agreement. The financing term remains two years. The additional repayment period only applies to the deferred device balance if a customer chooses to keep their device after the initial financing term ends. After the two-year term, customers can also repay their balance or return their device at any time, giving them greater choice and flexibility when upgrading to the latest devices.

Ultra Plans Now Include Even More Benefits

The enhanced 24-month Flex Option repayment term builds on the existing benefits available with Bell’s feature-rich Ultra plans. Ultra plans provide unlimited data at Bell’s fastest available 5G+ speeds1, with many other features including a 5-Year Price Guarantee2, access to Crave3, Aeroplan® points4, roaming and more.

Upgrade Today, Pay with More Flexibility Later

For customers considering a new smartphone, Flex Option provides a great way to manage device costs over time while enjoying even more benefits when paired with an Ultra plan.

Customers can explore Bell’s cell phone plans to compare available plan options and browse the latest smartphones to learn more about Flex Option from Bell.
