Nintendo Announces New Switch 2 Discount Bundles in Canada
Starting September 1, the base cost for a standalone Nintendo Switch 2 system rises to $679.99 CAD in Canada. However, the company announced two new hardware bundles designed to pack in extra value and save players some cash on popular software.
Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle
The first option hitting store shelves is the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle, arriving in late September. Priced at $749.99 CAD, the package includes:
- A standard Nintendo Switch 2 hardware unit
- A digital redemption code for Mario Kart World
- A 3-Month (90-Day) Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership
Nintendo claims this bundle saves consumers $51.98 CAD compared to buying the console, game, and online subscription individually at retail prices.
Nintendo Switch 2 + Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Bundle
The second package focuses on active, family-friendly gaming. Arriving October 22, the Nintendo Switch 2 + Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Bundle launches on the very same day as the standalone game. Priced at $724.99 CAD, this set offers a savings of $36.98 CAD compared to standalone purchases.
Much like the racing set, this package bundles the Switch 2 system with a digital code for Nintendo Switch Sports Resort and a 90-day Nintendo Switch Online individual plan.
These bundles soften the blow of a broader retail shift. Nintendo previously confirmed that the baseline price for the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware shifts to $679.99 CAD on September 1. By offering bundled digital software and online access, these box sets effectively give buyers a way to secure launch-window games at a noticeable discount.
Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch Sports Resort bundle will open soon via the official My Nintendo Store, the Nintendo eShop, and selected retail partners.
