Amazon Prime Video NHL Schedule in Canada

Amazon Prime Video has officially announced the full schedule for its upcoming “Wednesday Night Hockey” package, kicking off the 2026-27 National Hockey League regular season in Canada. Live coverage will begin on Wednesday, September 30 at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

Under a landmark 12-year sub-licensing agreement with Rogers Communications, Prime Video serves as the exclusive long-term Canadian home for Wednesday night national regular-season games through the 2037-38 season. All broadcasts will be available in both English and French to active Prime members at no additional cost.

Throughout the 2026-27 regular season, Prime Video will stream 27 national games featuring heavy emphasis on Canadian franchises. The Montréal Canadiens lead all Canadian clubs with seven national appearances on the platform. Their schedule includes an October 14 matchup against Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals, as well as classic Original Six rivalries against the Boston Bruins on January 6 and March 10.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are featured in six broadcast windows, starting with the opening night puck drop on September 30. Leafs fans will also see their team featured on March 17 for the annual St. Pats game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Meanwhile, the Edmonton Oilers will make five appearances, headlined by an October 28 Battle of Alberta clash when they host the Calgary Flames.

The Calgary Flames, Winnipeg Jets, and Ottawa Senators are each scheduled for four national appearances on the Prime Video schedule. Key highlights for those matchups include October 21, when Florida Panthers captain Brady Tkachuk returns to Ottawa to face his former Senators squad.

In addition to regular-season coverage, the long-term arrangement grants Prime Video exclusive Canadian rights to select postseason action. For the first time, the streaming service will exclusively host three Stanley Cup Playoff series per year, consisting of two First Round matchups and one Second Round series.
