Public Mobile’s $20 Plan Is Gone as Back-to-School Promos Wind Down
Telus-owned prepaid brand Public Mobile has started to end some of its back to school promo plans, specifically its entry plan with 1GB of data.
Public Mobile updated its website on Monday to jack up the price of its $20/1GB promo plan by $2, now sitting at $22 per month. We first saw the prepaid carrier introduce these back to school promos back in mid-August. With Labour Day over and marking the unofficial end of summer, the first plan to jump back in price was the entry 1GB offer.
Check out Public Mobile’s plans as of September 8, 2026:
Public Mobile 4G Plans
Public Mobile 5G Plans (all still labelled ‘back to school offer’):
- $35/25GB + 1000 Int’l minutes with US/Mexico
- $40/75GB + 1000 Int’l minutes with US/Mexico
- $45/125GB + 1000 Int’l minutes with US/Mexico
- $50/175GB + 1000 Int’l minutes with US/Mexico
The 5G plans above still have the back to school label on them, so expect these to end within the next week or so.
