Paramount+ Brings ‘MobLand’ to Toronto With Elephant & Castle Takeover

Paramount+ is bringing the criminal underworld of MobLand to downtown Toronto ahead of the show’s second-season premiere.

From September 11 through September 19, Paramount+ Canada is transforming the Windsor Bar inside Elephant & Castle at 212 King Street West into an immersive MobLand-themed experience inspired by the Harrigan family. The takeover coincides with MobLand Season 2, which premieres September 18 on Paramount+ in Canada.

The Windsor Bar will receive a Harrigan-inspired makeover throughout the promotion, with themed cocktails and take-home glassware available with purchase. Several interactive experiences are also planned. A “Mugshot” photo booth will operate from noon to 8 p.m. on September 11-13 and September 17-19, giving visitors a printed photo to take home. There’s also a “Wheel of Chaos,” where visitors can win MobLand merchandise including football kits, scarves, flasks, keychain bottle openers and branded burner-phone mints. Prizes are available while supplies last.

Live music rounds out the takeover. Old Man Flanagan’s Ghost performs September 13, 17 and 18, while The Causeway Giants play on September 14 and 19. Specific performance times vary by date. The activation is open during Elephant & Castle’s regular business hours, although the special programming follows its own schedule.

MobLand stars Tom Hardy as Harry Da Souza, a fixer working for the powerful Harrigan crime family, led by Conrad and Maeve Harrigan, played by Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren. Season 2 finds the Harrigans struggling to maintain control of their fractured criminal empire as new rivals emerge and tensions within the family escalate.

Paramount+ has confirmed the season runs for 10 episodes, with new instalments arriving every Friday through November 20. If you’ve been meaning to catch up, Season 1 is already streaming on Paramount+ Canada. The Toronto takeover should offer a slightly more sociable way to prepare for Season 2 than joining a fictional London crime family.
