Rogers vs Telus vs Bell vs Freedom: Best Cellphone Plans – September 2026

Rogers, Telus, Bell and Freedom Mobile cellphone plans

With a blink of an eye, we are well into September (summer, where are you?). Let’s take a look at the latest cellphone plans from Rogers, Telus, Bell and Freedom Mobile, right after Apple’s hardware week, and see how they compared to our August roundup.

Rogers

  • $65/60GB
  • $70/100GB Canada-US for 24 months
  • $85 Unlimited data: Canada-US-Mexico-Caribbean for 24 months
  • $100 Unlimited data: Global (64 destinations for plan use; long distance to 27 countries); Priority network access; 5 year price guarantee

What we’re seeing here from Rogers is mostly the same plans as August. No major changes.

Telus

  • $65/60GB up to 2 Gbps (was 250 Mbps)
  • $70/100GB – US roaming; 5GB/day roaming cap (new)
  • $85 Unlimited Canada-US-Mexico talk; 5GB/day roaming cap
  • $100 Unlimited Global (68 destinations); 5GB/day roaming cap

Telus pricing has not changed. But the $65 plan now gets up to 2 Gbps speeds and we also told you shareable data is gone. Also, the $70 plan now has US roaming.

Bell

  • $65/60GB
  • $70/100GB Canada-US; SD streaming; 5GB/day roaming
  • $85 Unlimited Canada-US-Mexico; HD streaming; 5GB/day roaming; 5 year price guarantee
  • $100 Unlimited Global; HD streaming; 5GB/day roaming; 5 year price guarantee

Autopay BYOD prices match August, but Global destinations moved from 65 to 83.

Freedom Mobile (All plans include global roaming)

  • $35/10GB + 1GB Roam Beyond
  • $40/70GB + 1GB Roam Beyond
  • $45/125GB + 5GB Roam Beyond
  • $50/175GB + 10GB Roam Beyond
  • $60/250GB + 10GB Roam Beyond
  • $70/250GB + 20GB Roam Beyond

Freedom’s plans are the same mix we saw in August, and mid/higher tiers are still labeled as back to school offers, so they will likely rotate as we get deeper into fall.

Expect more plan changes as we move deeper into September and even more as we eventually approach the fall and Black Friday. Let’s see what Rogers, Telus and Bell, plus Freedom, have planned this time around.

Where is the satellite to cell direct service that Bell said was going to happen in 2026?

What about freedom signal coverage. I was at freedom just for 2 months. Signal was terrible. Unless you live in the city.
