Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max went up for pre-order in Canada this morning, and some configurations are already slipping beyond the September 18 launch date.

Checks by iPhone in Canada on Saturday morning at around 10:30 a.m. PT show the iPhone 18 Pro remains widely available for launch-day delivery, while the larger iPhone 18 Pro Max is seeing longer delays, especially for lower-storage models (which are the lowest priced entry point).

iPhone 18 Pro is Still Available for Launch Day

For the iPhone 18 Pro, Burgundy and Glacier are still showing September 18 delivery across all storage capacities.

Silver is also mostly available on launch day. The 256GB model is showing September 18 delivery, while the 512GB version has slipped to October 1 to October 6. The 1TB and 2TB models are still showing September 18.

Black remains the easiest iPhone 18 Pro colour to get, with 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB models all showing September 18 delivery.

Availability is much tighter for the iPhone 18 Pro Max

The Burgundy iPhone 18 Pro Max is currently the most delayed, which is not surprising as it’s the newest colour alongside Glacier. The 256GB and 512GB models are showing delivery between October 13 and October 20 to our area in BC, while the 1TB and 2TB versions are estimated for October 1 to October 6.

For Glacier, Silver and Black, the 256GB and 512GB iPhone 18 Pro Max models are showing October 1 to October 6 delivery. The higher-capacity 1TB and 2TB versions are still available for September 18.

There may still be another way to get one on launch day. Various Apple Store locations are showing September 18 in-store pickup for some iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max configurations, depending on the store. So if you have an Apple Store in your city, consider yourself lucky. This is essentially the Reserve and Pick Up option but it’s just again shown during the checkout phase.

Customers can check local availability by adding an iPhone to their bag on Apple’s website, entering their postal code and selecting a nearby Apple Store during the “Review your bag” step.

Availability can change quickly as Apple processes more pre-orders, so delivery and pickup estimates may shift throughout the weekend.
