Meta’s Muse AI Agent Is Now Available in Canada

Well, that was fast. Meta’s new Muse personal AI agent is now available in Canada, expanding beyond its initial U.S. launch earlier this month.

“Made it to Canada. Where to next? 👀” Meta said in a post on X at 3:12 p.m. PT on Friday, directing Canadians to download Muse from its website.

Muse first launched in the United States on September 8. Meta describes it as a personal AI agent that goes beyond answering questions and can actually complete tasks on a user’s behalf.

The AI runs inside what Meta calls Muse Secure VM, a dedicated virtual computer with its own browser. That allows Muse to browse the web, fill out forms, book appointments, handle customer service and work across connected apps and services.

Essentially, this is Meta’s version of SpaceXAI’s Grok Bot.

Users can connect things such as email, calendars and Instagram, then give Muse tasks to complete. Meta says the agent can also make purchases, create documents, track goals and monitor things in the background.

Meta says users control how much access Muse receives. Sensitive actions such as sending an email or making a purchase require approval, while passwords and payment details are stored separately so Muse itself cannot see them.

The company also says conversations and data stored inside a user’s Muse virtual machine are not shared with Meta’s advertising systems. Users can disconnect services and opt out of having their Muse interactions used to train Meta’s AI models.

At launch, Muse was limited to the U.S. on iOS, Android and the web. Friday’s expansion brings Canada into the mix less than two weeks later.

Muse can be accessed through its dedicated app or at Muse.ai. Meta also designed the agent to work through WhatsApp, with support for AI glasses coming later.
