Tubi Launches ‘Terror on Tubi’ Horror Hub in Canada With 13,000 Hours of Content

Tubi is giving horror fans in Canada a permanent place to get their fix by turning its seasonal ‘Terror on Tubi’ promotion into a year-round destination.

The new Terror on Tubi Hub brings together more than 13,000 hours of horror content available on the free, ad-supported streaming service in Canada. Tubi confirms that rather than disappearing once Halloween is over, the hub will remain available year-round. The rotating curated collections cover slashers, supernatural thrillers, creature features, and considerably more obscure corners of the genre.

The launch comes just in time for spooky season with the complete Tales from the Crypt series now available to stream. Based on the EC Comics series from the 1950s, the cult horror anthology ran from 1989 to 1996. Each episode features a standalone story introduced by the Crypt Keeper, typically ending particularly badly for someone who probably deserved it.

Tubi is also launching a new original anthology series, Bite Size Terror, on October 2. The 10-episode series spans supernatural horror, the occult, monsters, body horror and dark comedy, with each instalment telling a different story. Executive producer Peter Rice previously worked on Hulu’s similarly structured Bite Size Halloween.

Tubi has also built up more than 60 original horror films for Canadian viewers. Its next release, comedy-horror Buzzkill, arrives September 25 and stars Siena Agudong, Brec Bassinger and Aliyah’s Interlude.

October brings another sizeable batch of recognizable movies, including The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2, Blade, Blade II, Blade: Trinity, Final Destination, Psycho, The Craft and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

The expansion follows Tubi reaching 110 million monthly active users globally as the free streaming service continues to grow. Tubi has also been steadily expanding its Canadian streaming catalogue, giving viewers another free alternative as subscription services continue getting more expensive.
