Apple Announces Creator Studio Updates With New iPhone 18 Pro Video Tools

Apple is rolling out a new round of updates for Apple Creator Studio, its collection of creative and productivity apps that includes Pixelmator Pro, Final Cut Pro, Motion, Compressor, Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform.

The updates announced today bring new editing tools for iPhone 18 Pro video, expanded templates and fresh productivity features across the lineup.

Pixelmator Pro is adding two new template collections on Mac and iPad, with sports and action designs in one and templates for a new business or product launch in the other. A new Podcasts category adds cover artwork sized for major podcast platforms. On iPad, the app also gains Select and Mask from the Mac, with dedicated controls for refining selections and masks while preserving fine detail along complex edges such as hair or fur.

Final Cut Pro and Motion on Mac are adding Cinematic mode effects for video captured natively on iPhone 18 Pro, so editors can adjust focus points and depth of field directly in the timeline. Compressor can convert video with Cinematic mode effects back to the previous Cinematic mode format, and adds HEVC and MPEG-4 export presets aimed at social sharing.

Keynote, Pages and Numbers are getting professionally designed templates and themes, and intelligent slide generation in Keynote can automatically create images tailored to a presentation. Users can also request access to shared presentations, documents or spreadsheets from within the apps. Pages for Mac adds Screen View for reading and focused writing, while Numbers gains new trigonometry, statistics and logic functions.

Freeform boards now adapt to Dark Mode, and folders let users organize boards into collections and invite collaborators. Writing Tools with Apple Intelligence can rewrite, proofread and summarize handwritten notes, and Shortcuts automation can add content to boards. In visionOS 27, users can pull images, videos, sticky notes, shapes and 3D models from a board into their space and view 3D models together as a group.

The updates build on the Creator Studio subscription Apple rolled out in Canada, expanding both the creative tools and the everyday productivity apps in the bundle.
