Bell Raises Bring Your Own Phone Plan Prices by Up to $10 in Canada

Bell Canada logo and branding

Nearly one week into October, we’re seeing a price increase from one of the country’s big telecoms. Bell on Tuesday updated its bring your own phone plan pricing, according to checks by iPhone in Canada. Prices have increased by $5 to $10 depending on the plan:

  • $70/60GB (was $60) Essential
  • $75/100GB (was $70) Canada-US (SD streaming; 5GB/day roaming)
  • $90 (was $85)/unlimited Canada-US-Mexico (HD streaming; 5GB/day roaming; 5-year price guarantee)
  • $100/unlimited Global (HD streaming; 5GB/day roaming; 5-year price guarantee; 83 destinations)

You may recall from our October 2026 flagship plans roundup, that Bell had dropped the price of the 60GB plan by $5 compared to September. But that was short-lived as pricing has now increased by $10 to $70. The 100GB plan sees a $5 price hike and the unlimited US-Mexico plan also increases by $5, now at $90. The unlimited global plan remains at $100 per month (5GB/day roaming caps).

So why the price increase? We have no idea, but sometimes carriers like to increase prices ahead of promo periods, to make discounts look bigger than they are. With Black Friday coming next month, this is the time to bump up prices, so stay tuned as we also keep tabs on what Telus, Rogers and Freedom Mobile will do as well.

You might want to also check your latest billing statement too, as any future price increases are always laid out there for customers on contract and those going month-to-month.
