Costco Delivery Launches on DoorDash Across Canada

Costco shoppers across Canada can now order groceries, household items, electronics and other products through DoorDash, with the service available from all Costco warehouses nationwide.
The new Canadian rollout lets Costco members link their membership ID inside DoorDash, browse thousands of available items and have orders shopped and delivered by a Dasher. Customers who do not yet have a Costco membership can follow a link to Costco.ca to sign up before returning to DoorDash to connect their account.
DoorDash says DashPass members can get $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees on eligible Costco orders with a subtotal of at least $85. Other charges, including service fees where applicable, taxes and tips, may still apply.
“Costco members have expressed an appetite for years to be able to shop from their local warehouse on DoorDash,” said Mike Goldblatt, Vice President of Enterprise Partnerships at DoorDash, in a statement to iPhone in Canada on Tuesday. “Costco’s quality, value, and selection combined with DoorDash’s reach and local delivery expertise give members more flexibility in how they shop. We’re honoured to see our global partnership continue to grow with Costco, delighting more members worldwide.”
The Canadian launch expands an existing partnership between Costco and DoorDash that already includes the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Iceland and Puerto Rico.
Costco shoppers can order a range of products through DoorDash, including groceries, pantry staples, household essentials, seasonal products, electronics and Kirkland Signature items.
DoorDash says it now partners with all of Canada’s largest grocers, adding Costco to a growing list of grocery chains available through its platform. Now as for your dasher bringing you a hot dog, pop and poutine with your order? That remains an unsolved mystery.
