Apple Launches Limited-Edition AirPods 5 for Diwali

Apple is celebrating Diwali with a limited-edition AirPods 5, featuring a unique charging case inspired by traditional Indian artwork.
The special-edition earbuds launched in India on October 11, offering customers a festive design without increasing the price. Available through Apple’s Indian online store, the AirPods 5 feature a rangoli-inspired engraving, a traditional Indian art form commonly associated with Diwali celebrations. The design incorporates an intricate decorative pattern surrounding a heart-eyes emoji.
The earbuds are priced at $17,900 INR (approximately $266 CAD), matching the cost of the standard AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case in India. Apple is offering the limited-edition model until November 11, 2026, or while supplies last. Purchases are limited to two pairs per customer and are available through Apple’s website, the Apple Store app, and six retail locations across India.
The company also notes that repairs or replacements may involve standard AirPods 5 hardware, depending on available inventory. The special edition is excluded from other AirPods promotions and certain employee, education and business purchasing programs.
While the limited-edition AirPods 5 are exclusive to India, Apple’s extending its Diwali celebrations to Canada. Beginning October 14, Apple is hosting free Today at Apple rangoli workshops in select countries, including Canada, the United States, Malaysia and Singapore.
Created in collaboration with artist Arushi Kathuria, the sessions invite participants to design their own rangoli artwork using Procreate on an iPad with Apple Pencil. A custom digital brush recreates the appearance of traditional coloured powder, bringing the festive art form into a digital environment.
Workshops run through November 9, with availability varying by Apple Store location. Apple has not announced plans to release the limited-edition AirPods 5 in Canada.
