Pokémon and Beats Partner on Limited-Edition Pill Speaker Featuring Pikachu and Mimikyu

The Pokémon Company is partnering with the Apple-owned Beats to launch a special-edition Beats Pill Bluetooth speaker featuring Pikachu and Mimikyu.
Announced this week, the Pokémon × Beats Pill will be available beginning Thursday, October 15, at 11 AM ET/8 AM PT through Apple’s online store. The collaboration brings two fan-favourite Pokémon together on the speaker’s front grille. A colourful Pikachu design appears in its familiar yellow alongside Mimikyu, the Ghost/Fairy-type Pokémon known for disguising itself as Pikachu.
It’s an appropriately spooky pairing with Halloween just around the corner. The speaker also includes a colour-matched carrying lanyard with a Poké Ball-inspired charm, adding a nice touch to the portable audio device.
Beyond its Pokémon makeover, the special edition retains the familiar Beats Pill design. The Pokémon Company highlights room-filling sound, deep bass and up to 24 hours of battery life, alongside dust and water resistance for outdoor listening. Aside from some Pokémon-themed cosmetics, this version of the Beats Pill is the same as the standard model.
Apple launched the new Beats Pill in 2024, featuring a redesigned speaker with improved audio hardware, USB-C connectivity, and an IP67 rating. The standard model also supports Bluetooth pairing with iPhone and Android devices, while its USB-C port can charge compatible devices. You can pair two Beats Pill speakers for stereo playback or amplified sound.
Those features helped establish the modern Pill as a more capable successor to Apple’s discontinued Beats Pill+.
However, one important detail is still missing for Canadian buyers. The Pokémon announcement hasn’t confirmed Canadian pricing or availability. For comparison, the standard Beats Pill originally launched in Canada for $199.95 CAD, although that doesn’t establish the special edition’s price.
