Wealthsimple Credit Card Now Gets 7% Cash Back on Turo Rentals

Wealthsimple has added Turo to its credit card partner cash back program, giving eligible cardholders 7% back on car rentals booked through the Turo app or turo.com. The offer started October 19, 2026 and runs until October 19, 2027.
That total is the card’s standard 2% cash back plus an extra 5% funded by Turo. It’s only open to Wealthsimple Visa Infinite, Visa Infinite+ and Visa Infinite Privilege cardholders on the 2% rate whose accounts are in good standing. Anyone on the 1% cash back card can’t get the extra cash back for now, although Wealthsimple says it’s working with partners to expand eligibility.
Say you book a Turo car for a weekend drive up the Sea-to-Sky or out to cottage country, and it comes to $400. You’d get about $28 back instead of the usual $8, which won’t cover the gas but should handle the Tim Hortons run on the way.
How to activate the Turo offer
Like the other partner offers, Turo’s bonus has to be switched on in the Wealthsimple app before you book, since purchases made before activation only earn the regular 2%. Here’s how:
- Open the Wealthsimple app and go to the Cash Back Hub or your credit card page.
- Find the Turo offer and tap to activate it. It turns green once it’s on.
- Book on Turo with your Wealthsimple credit card.
The extra cash back is paid automatically once the purchase settles, with no minimum spend and no cap listed in the terms. Gift cards, cash-like transactions, fees and adjustments don’t qualify, and refunded bookings lose their cash back. Bookings in another currency earn on the Canadian dollar equivalent, which helps on a US trip. Turo may also have its own partner terms in the app.
Other partners, and Sephora ends soon
Turo joins the partners that launched with the program on October 1, which we covered earlier this month. Here are the current total rates, including the 2% base:
- Silk & Snow: 8% until May 18, 2027
- Sephora: 5% until October 25, 2026
- Altitude Sports: 5% until January 1, 2027
- Clothing brand 437: 4% until May 27, 2027
If you’ve been meaning to restock at Sephora, that offer ends this Sunday, October 25, and Wealthsimple says more partners are coming. It’s been a busy fall for the company, which launched kids and teens accounts last month and is moving its chequing card from Mastercard to Visa.
