Apple’s latest Free App of the Week is Infinity Blade II by Epic Games, normally priced at $6.99.

This is actually the second time Apple has made the title free, as last year it was a freebie as part of the App Store’s Fifth Anniversary Celebration, which helped boost players by 5.7 million in just one week. The sequel was originally launched back in the winter of 2011. The game comes in at a 1.1GB download and is optimized for the iPhone 5 and requires iOS 4.3 or later.
Last February, the original Infinity Blade was Apple’s free App of the Week. It seems like it’s only a matter of time before Infinity Blade III will be free–maybe later this year?
The Infinity Blade titles have some incredible graphics, but personally the gameplay gets repetitive and just doesn’t do it for us. What about you?
