Global Go Launches on Apple TV 4/4K, Adds iPhone X Support [u]

Global Television has announced the official launch of Global GO for Apple TV and Apple TV 4K, allowing live streaming of TV shows, clips and exclusives. Update: Here’s a screenshot of what the app looks like, sent to us from Corus via email:

“We know fans are watching Global’s content in more ways than one, and we’re committed to delivering a seamless and exciting viewing experience on any platform,” said Maria Hale, Senior Vice President, Global Entertainment & Content Acquisition, Corus Entertainment, in an issued statement to iPhone in Canada.

“As we approach the holiday season, we’re happy to gift fans the opportunity to binge compelling and high-calibre Global programming live and on-demand with this new version of the app,” added Hale.

Global GO includes integration with Apple’s TV iOS app, meaning users can start an episode on one device and pick up where they left off from another. It also means Siri integration to search for shows with their voice.

The tvOS app also includes access to Global Live Stream closest to their location (they’ll need to visit globaltv.com/activate and login with cable TV credentials to activate it), while the company says new content is added daily.

Today’s update also includes screen support for iPhone X users.

Back in November, Global confirmed to iPhone in Canada a tvOS app was in the works and it has arrived as promised. Let us know how you like this new app for Apple TV 4 and 4K.
