How to Fix Mac App Store “An Unknown Error Occured (100).”

We ran into some issues with trying to download a free app via the Mac App Store. The error reads:

“We could not complete your App Store request. An unknown error occurred (100). There was an error in the App Store please try again later.”

Here’s are a couple ways to fix this Mac App Store error:

– sign out and quit the Mac App Store
– log out of your Mac, and log back in. Restart the Mac App Store and sign into your Apple ID again.

After attempting the above, you should be able to download apps from the Mac App Store. Other users have also fixed this error by just rebooting. What’s the hold up you ask? It seems that new Terms and Conditions to accept for the Mac App Store were not updated, so it prevents users from downloading apps.

Let us know if this works for you. It worked for me!

Thanks to Rob for sending in the tip!

Yeah. This worked for me. The Mac App Store is cool, I guess. A lot of useless stuff in there, though.
