Apple is reportedly eyeing to release its upcoming line of new ‘iPhone 13’ smartphones in the third week of September. Additionally, a new report suggests that the Pro models of the flagship device will support 1TB storage.

Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives released a recent investors note, obtained by MacRumors. In it, Ives states that he believes Apple will launch the iPhone 13 during the third week of September. Given Apple’s prior commitments to releasing its iPhones in September, Ives’ claims could very well be on the money. In 2020, Apple delayed the release of the iPhone 12 to October due to the pandemic.

In the investor’s note, Ives wrote:

Our recent Asia supply chain checks for 2H put iPhone builds between 130M-150M. The iPhone 13 appears to represent 35%-45% of iPhone builds in Q3, this positive outlook gives us enhanced confidence that 2021’s launch timing will be “normal”. From a timing perspective, we believe the current iPhone 13 launch is slated for the third week in September.

Typically, Apple hosts an event on the Tuesday of the launch week and reveals its new models of the iPhone. The release then follows on the following Friday. Based on Ives’ claim, Apple may host an event on September 13th and will see the iPhone 13 launch on September 17th.

In addition to the release window, Ives discussed the possibility of iPhone 13 Pro models supporting 1TB storage. This would effectively double the current storage caps the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max supports, being 512GB. Earlier this year, Ives discussed the possibility. Given that the point of conversation has once again risen, especially so close to launch, Ives much feel confident in Apple’s decision to introduce 1TB storage options for iPhone consumers.

Finally, Ives notes that each iPhone 13 model will feature a LiDAR sensor, enabling each model including iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max to feature AR applications and uses.
