Fido is again offering 5GB of free bonus data to select customers. We saw the offer doled out to some customers earlier this month, and now we’re hearing it’s still being offered.
According to a text message received by iPhone in Canada reader, David, Fido says “you deserve more data. Here’s an extra 5GB every month for 15 months.”
The text message goes on to say there are “no added costs, no new contracts, no strings attached. All because you’re a great customer.” Aww, shucks.

David is currently on a $55 per month plan with Fido, a 6GB plus 6GB plan. He noted the company has been trying to sign him up on their $60/30GB plan for a while now, and believes this may be an attempt by the company to get him to experience more data for free.
In order to get your free 5GB of data for 15 months, Fido says you need to sign in to your account before November 1, 2021, to claim the offer. Let us know if you’ve received a text message like the above from Fido today or recently.
