SaskTel has just announced it has launched its LTE network for residents in Weyburn, which should please iPhone 5 users in the area. Don McMorris, Minister Responsible for SaskTel said “SaskTel is working hard to connect Saskatchewan to the world,” while Ron Styles, President and CEO of SaskTel went on to add “Our LTE network has twice the coverage and is up to 33 per cent faster than any other LTE network in Saskatchewan”
Coverage maps for Weyburn haven’t been updated to reflect 4G LTE, but you get the picture:

SaskTel’s LTE network currently covers the following areas on top of tonight’s addition of Weyburn:
- Regina and area – including Deer Valley, Lumsden, Pense, Pilot Butte, White City
- Saskatoon and area – including Clavet, Dundurn, Langham, Martensville, Osler, Vanscoy, Warman
The company notes it will continue to expand its LTE network in Estevan, Moose Jaw, North Battleford, Prince Albert, Swift Current and Yorkton throughout 2013.
