TekSavvy Fibre Internet Launches in Cedar Springs and Blenheim
TekSavvy announced on Tuesday its fibre-to-the-home internet service has reached Cedar Springs and Blenheim in the Chatham-Kent municipality in Ontario.
As of today, fibre internet is now available to over 700 homes and businesses in both communities, while further expansion is slated “in the coming weeks.”
The completion of the rollout is set for early February 2022, when 450 homes and businesses in Cedar Springs will get fibre internet. In early summer 2022, Blenheim’s rollout will see fibre reach 2,350 homes and businesses.
“TekSavvy is proud to deliver the latest fibre-based technology to these communities,” says Charlie Burns, Chief Technology Officer at TekSavvy, in a statement. “Residents and businesses can access fast, reliable internet service — and all at a reasonable price.”
The independent internet service provider says its high-speed fibre offers up to 1 Gbps internet with unlimited bandwidth. A current promo is offering a $20/month bill credit for 12 months on the company’s Fibre 1000 Unlimited package.
“Communities such as Blenheim and Cedar Springs are part of the backbone of our community,” added Chatham-Kent Mayor Darrin Canniff. “Affordable high-speed connectivity from an industry leader such as TekSavvy will make a real difference for residents and businesses.”
