Telus-owned Public Mobile looks to be in the spirit of giving, as customers can get a 2GB data add-on for free, along with 500 international long distance minutes.
How to get these extras for free? You need to log into your account on Public Mobile’s website, click on ‘Purchase Add-ons’, then you’ll see the freebies under the Talk and Data categories:

Last year, Public Mobile also gave out freebies for the holidays, in the form of a 1GB add-on and 400 international long distance minutes. For 2020, the free data amount has doubled, while an extra 100 long distance minutes were added to make for 500 total.
Now, will Rogers’ chatr and Bell’s Lucky Mobile offer up similar freebies? Or will Telus’ Public Mobile look like the golden child here?
Update Dec. 1, 11:05am PST: Public Mobile has officially announced more details of this ‘More is merrier’ campaign.
“Available today until December 31st, 11:59PM EST, all new and existing customers can get a free 2GB data add-on, 500 minutes of international long-distance calling, and a chance to win one of 131 Amazon gift cards,” explained the company.
There’s also a contest to win an Amazon gift card available here.
“Cross your fingers: We’ve got 131 draws of $60 (that’s $30 for you and $30 for your friend). 10 draws of $200, $100 each and 1 draw of $1000 to split!,” said Public Mobile, adding winners will be contacted in early January via SMS.
