Telus-owned prepaid 3G brand, Public Mobile, has debuted live chat on its website while also kicked off a flash sale.
The live chat is available to assist customers with generic activation help and debuted on April 22, according to Public Mobile. Chat agents are in-store managers working from home and don’t have access to accounts. Basically they are there to answer questions about Public Mobile and activating.
There’s a large ‘Start Live Chat’ button on the Public Mobile website which launches a separate window with notifications. Users have the option of printing their chat conversation for their records.
Normally, support is via the Public Mobile forums, but live chat may entice potential customers to sign up with the company, especially now that kiosks have been closed due to COVID-19.
New Flash Sale Offers Next 30 Days for $0
Public Mobile also launched a ‘flash sale’ today, where customers can get their next 30 days free if they activate a plan $25/month or higher online. In order to get this offer, however, Public Mobile wants your email address to send you newsletters.
“Activate on any plan $25/mo or higher and get your next 30 days for $0 online only. Activate by May 22nd using the email address submitted below to receive this offer.”
The fine print reads, “Effective May 5 2020 until May 7 2020 at 11:59PM ET. Offer available to new customers who submit their email address online between May 5 and 7, and then activate online using the same email address they submitted on this page by May 22 2020 at 11:59PM ET. Offer is stackable with other promotions.”
