TELUS Launches New Price Match Policy for Smartphones

TELUS has launched a new price match policy called the ‘Device Price Match Promise’. This program essentially says the company will match a better price you can find elsewhere. News of the program was first reported by MobileSyrup a week ago but is now live on the company’s website.

The price match policy is only for new smartphones begin activated or renewed on 2-year terms, and a credit will appear on your bill within 60 days.

TELUS will also match cash-equivalent gift cards offered by competitors via bill credits and device specifications must be identical down to the memory and colour.

Here are the exact instructions on how to get your price match:

Visit a TELUS store with a competitor’s ad showing a lower price. We’ll accept printed ads, email flyers, photos of in-store or out of home advertising or printed screenshots of competitors’ websites, but reserve the right to verify that the ad actually reflects a price currently being offered by a competitor in the province.

There is some fine print though—the price match policy is not available at authorized dealers such as: Apple, Best Buy, Black’s, Cellular Point, Future Shop, Jump+, London Drugs, The Mobile Shop (Loblaws), Microsoft, Samsung and Walmart.

Rogers launched a similar program last April called ‘Price Match’.
