Yesterday we told you about Costco.ca and their Masterpass discount, which offers $25 off your first $100 purchase.
Today the new Apple TV 4K is now listed on Costco’s website and the 32GB model is in stock for $219.99, which is cheaper than Apple’s $229 list price.
But if you throw in the $25 off from Masterpass, that takes the final price to $194.99, about 15% off the 32GB Apple TV 4K. That’s not a bad discount considering the Apple TV 4K launched just over a week ago. Do note the 64GB Apple TV 4K is not listed on Apple.ca yet.

The 64GB version is not carried by Costco.ca right now. Only 32GB listed.
Which one would be better to get the 64gb or 32gb version of the 4K AppleTV, I currently have the 32gb version of the AppleTV 4 (original) looking for an upgrade.
Really depends on how many apps you download. But for me, 32GB is plenty for our usage of our ATV4.

Ps- if you entered the digital copy code from your blu-rays into iTunes, if the movie is in 4K on iTunes you can stream the 4K version on your Apple TV and the HDR version on your 2017 iPad Pro. Nice surprise as I don’t have to repurchase them. I know they said you could stream 4K on previous iTunes purchases, but I wasn’t sure about the digital copies included with store bought discs.

Tried to setup my BMO Mastercard with Masterpass and it said BMO was blocking Masterpass on the card. Phoned in and they said they were discontinuing Masterpass at BMO.
Seems like Costco Capital One Card isn’t eligible for masterpass. I couldn’t sign up for masterpass.
Read the Terms of service carefully before deciding if it is right for you. Masterpass may be a really bad thing if you shop a lot.
Key points:
– Once you use MasterPass you will always need to use it.
– You need to create yet another user name and password to forget.
– MasterPass is operated by a third party, not Mastercard.
– You agree to waive the zero-liability clause of your credit card.
– Your fraud liability may increase from $0 to $200
They are counting on the fact that most people do not read the terms of service.
