OtterBox 3000 Waterproof Box Review

For those needing superior protection for their iPhones, you should check out my reviews of the OtterBox Defender series and Armor series cases. These two cases provide some incredible protection for the iPhone, as I have dunked one in a jug of water to prove it (with MY iPhone inside!).

Today we’re going to review an OtterBox 3000 case–this is what OtterBox is known for. For people who are looking for a case that is watertight up to 100ft, crushproof and airtight. The 3000 series case isn’t specifically designed for the iPhone, but more for electronics you want to protect when you’re camping, boating, etc.

The cases come in a range of colors: yellow, blue, black, and clear. The inside has some light padding and will fit your iPhone plus a few other electronic items. Two secure snaps keep the case airtight and waterproof. I wanted to test just how crushproof this OtterBox 3000 case really was. Please watch the following video to see what I mean…

Here are a few pics of the OtterBox 3000 case…umm…those marks on the case are from…the video above. 😉

If you’re a tech junkie and you have a wide assortment of electronics (think Nintendo DS Lite, digital camera, cell phones, iPods, etc) then one of these OtterBox cases might do you well if you want protection from water and being crushed to death (for example, a car). For $22.49, the 3000 series case is worth it if you need to store your valuables from being destroyed!
