ZAGGskins Review: Custom Designer Skins for the iPhone
I’ve owned every single generation of the iPhone so far. With each iPhone, I never used a silicon case. From the days of my first gen iPhone, I’ve been using ZAGG’s invisibleSHIELD to protect my iPhone. It’s the strongest protection out there, and I like having less bulk to carry all the time.

How to Design Your Own Skin?
Just logon to the ZAGG website, and start customizing your iPhone 3G/3GS skins. It’s very easy to upload your own picture, plus you can add extra shapes for some flair. You can easily rotate, move and shrink your image. Well done for making it easy, ZAGG. It’s comparable to other customizable skin companies out there and is a very straightforward process. Check out my mad skillz below:
Looking at the reflection of the skin against light, its properties do reveal that it is indeed the same material as the invisibleSHIELD. Installing these ZAGGskins were a piece of cake! There’s no water involved as the skins themselves are adhesive, so they stick right onto your iPhone easily. Air bubbles are pretty much non-existent due to the design. Man, if only the original invisibleSHIELD was this easy to install. Here are some pics of a quick install of a Canadian flag ZAGGskin (the bezel pieces weren’t cut properly so I couldn’t put them on–but the other samples are fine).
The only thing is that the corner coverage of these ZAGGskins aren’t as thorough as the invisibleSHIELD. There are pieces for the top and bottom bezels, but the corners are lacking. But, even then it’s not a problem since the corners are usually the most difficult parts to install. However, the corners are cut very well to prevent peeling, and the adhesive works very well. Now that the complexity has been turned down a notch, it actually was quite pleasant installing these skins. Just line up the skin with the camera hole, then lay down from the center and start smoothing it out. Voila!

I was so disappointed with my first experience with zagg.
I got an invisible shield for my white iphone, but it discolored very quickly which is very annoying.
Now that they have these skins, I'm hoping that wont be a problem.

I've put a Zagg skin on every electronic device they have one for. I love them, recommend them to everyone. A nice custom one would soooo sweet on my new 3GS. The Canadian flag ones are great but I like the Argyle ones too.

good review, but uniqueskins has the exact same thing (with a customized front cover as well, around the screen) for only $6.99. you can upload pics to it or use their designs, and it comes out fantastic.

I want to win a zaggskin because I've never had a skin for my phone and I've been using the same old case ever since I got my iPhone. The case was already used and pretty much broken, but it's better than nothing I guess. I loved the invisible shield, but mine started to peel, so I took it of and replaced with a ugly white rubber cover. I really need a ZAGGskin cause my phone looks really bad with this white piece of junk on it. A cool ZAGGskin would make me feel really good.

What is the grip like with these shields? The only thing I don't like about my iPod touch is the fact that typing rapidly can be difficult because the back is slippery. I would love a thin backing that also added a no slip grip to the back of the iPod/iPhone.
Does this skin do this? If not, any suggestions?

I'm a LOYAL customer of ZAGG products and have been buying their products for a few years now … shields for the iPods, iPhones, BB and laptop.
Loyalty to their products is not the reason why I should get a freebie, but the reason I should get one is because I've been a good 'marketing agent' for ZAGG over the years. I have convinced a ton of friends and colleagues to get ZAGG invisible shield for their electronics device. I love the sleek look of these skins (really hate bulky cases)
My only dilemma (if I win one) is once everyone else see how bada$$ these ZAGGskins are, they are going to want one as well and then I'm stuck having to put it on for them, which BTW something I've become an expert at.
But please don't let 'my dilemma' stop you from giving me one :-), I will deal with that after.
The Argyle one has to be my favourite, but there are a few others that I really like.

The corners on the finished product don't look anything like they do on the website. Look at your example! It doesn't even fit the phone and leaves the corners totally unprotected and all choppy. I just got mine and I'm returning it. Waste of shipping charges that they charge you to return their crappy, misrepresented product.

If it was perfect, it would look like the phones they show on the website. What they show on the site is a photoshopped misrepresentation. I'm curious as to why you're not showing pictures of the top or the bottom of the phone? I'm sure it's because it's looks like mine…. sloppy with gaps on and around the corners and the ridges. And you are correct. The product is not for me. I have a problem with blatant misrepresentation. Unfortunately for consumers, when you search out ZaggSkins, you get inundated with sketchy affiliate site reviews rather than actual consumer experiences.
