Apple Files Trademark Application for “Photo Stream” in Canada
With Apple’s iCloud to launch this Fall wit iOS 5, it appears the company is filing for applications for its new services. Patently Apple reports Apple has filed for a trademark application for the term “Photo Stream” in Canada. This service is part of iCloud, and keeps photos in sync across all of your iOS devices.
As seen from the picture below, application 1530567 was filed on Apple’s behalf via international law firm Baker & Mackenzie’s Toronto office on June 6, 2011. It covers everything related to computers and telecommunications. Canada really matters, eh?

Wonder what Flickr says about that, considering they’ve been calling their users’ pages “photostream” for years ….
