Apple Filming New iPhone Ads That Feature Video Chat
Engadget this week is reporting that Apple has started to film new ads for the next generation iPhone. The new TV spots are reportedly being directed by Sam Mendes (director of American Beauty, Jarhead) and that video calling will be the main feature focus.
According to Engadget’s source, the new iPhone (internally known as “Mammoth/N90”) ads will feature a video calling conversation between a mother and daughter using the new front-facing iPhone camera.
Engadget further notes recent tweets from actors and actresses who have revealed they have been auditioning for the new Apple iPhone ads.
The evidence at this point is overwhelming that it would be accurate to say that a new iPhone has a 100% chance of being revealed at Apple’s WWDC event in two weeks.

WOW, “june 7”, “wwdc”, “android”, “iphone 4G”, so many interesting things about apple, about smartphone. I prefer iphone to android.
Wonder if iChat will work on Rogers/Bell/Telus off the bat or will it be a extra paid feature?
Video chat is kinda cool, but I don't really see it taking off right away. We'll have to wait to see how the “general public” responds. If it turns out everyone wants to video chat, then Apple will sell a ton of the new iPhone. Also, I expect Rogers will charge us extra for this feature.
If Rogers does end up charging extra for this feature, I will personally hunt down Nadir Mohamed and punch him in the balls.
Ahahaha! They initially tried to charge us extra for tethering, and that was turned around, so maybe they've learned their lesson. They should offer it for free to people with a 1GB or more data plan.
I can easily see video chat being a $10 feature just like Rogers GPS. its not like Rogers to give the customers freebies. But at the same time, if its wifi only, Rogers might not be able too. Falls in the hands of shaw cable (or who your ISP is)
