Thanks to our friends at 9to5Mac for “confirming” the arrival of the white iPhone 4 in Spring 2011. Apparently Apple store signage being distributed includes the verbiage ” The white iPhone 4 will be available spring 2011″. Yeah! Err…ummm, whatever.
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my iPhone 4 and perhaps had the white phone been available I might have picked that one over the black one. More likely no, but at least there might have been the option.
I guess what is ringing a bit hollow here for me are a few things:
I think that white iPhone 4 is best put to bed once and for all. Have iPhone 5 ready to go with both colours in June 2011 and move from there. My 2 cents.

Lol sereiously im tired of hearing about it but why release it now just like u said another iphone might if not will come out this summer?????
If it’s Spring… It will probably hold off until Summer 2011 for the next iPhone release.
Agreed… if you don’t already have an iPhone 4 by early spring, you’re just better off holding off until June/July and getting the latest and greatest.

Of course apple fanboys will buy it, and then one month later iPhone 4g will come out. And more will be spent on the newest and greatest. This is just a marketing ploy, I say boycott the white iPhone 4, my black one is great and most of the time it’s in a case anyways so who cares what colour it is.
AT&T will get it in spring. chances are we Canadians wont see it until the next month, by which if we hold out just a month or two longer we will have the latest iPhone release (iphone 5 or what every they decide to call it)
I say take that material you would use on making the white iphone 4, and recycle most of it into the next generation of iPhone 5 that way you will get an early start and avoid some of the shortages we saw this year

I like that you called it the iPhone 4G. I think they planned it that way – by releasing 4 this year, next year they can give it the 4G speed and name and have another marketing ploy, when they could have actually released the phone this year with the 4G speed.
Good original post about what should be done. It doesn’t make sense to release in the spring. It would just be asking for unsatisfied customers who buy it unaware of Apples iPhone life cycle.
I swear I saw someone with one this weekend when I was at the christmas, but maybe it was a hiphone4, lol.
