If you aren’t aware, you can earn Aeroplan miles by shopping at Apple.ca by visiting the latter’s website via Aeroplan. The miles works out to 1 mile for each dollar spent, but there are current promotions where you can get 5X the miles on any purchase, and it includes the iPhone 5.
The fine details are below:
- the following items are not eligible for the accumulation of Aeroplan Miles: Gift cards, and giftwrapping.
- Aeroplan Miles will be rewarded to a maximum of five (5) iPad units and two (2) iPhone units per order.
Once you click the ‘Shop Now’ button on Aeroplan’s website you will automatically be directed to Apple Canada’s website (you’ll need to enter your Aeroplan number and last name). Say you purchased an unlocked 16GB iPhone 5 for $699…with the 5X bonus miles you would have earned 3495 miles.
Now only if I had known this sooner. FML.

Update: You can also earn AIR MILES too by shopping via the AirMilesShops.ca website (thanks @habsfan234) and also earn 1.5% back by shopping at GreatCanadianRebates.ca.

We only collected Aeroplan when flying Air Canada (which is rare) and stopped with Air Miles ages ago.
Can we get points for past purchases? I know for example that if I forget to put my aeroplan at time of booking I can get those points added at a later date
