Apple’s 16-inch MacBook Pro May Launch This Week: Report

When will Apple’s rumoured 16-inch MacBook Pro debut? It could come this week, according to sources speaking to 9to5Mac, as the iPhone maker is rumoured to be holding private press briefings at its New York City demo location:

This week appears to be one of those occasions based both on what 9to5Mac is hearing privately and suggestions by multiple public disclosures. If Apple is holding private press meetings at the start of this week, that suggests we could see the subject of those meetings announced publicly by the middle of the week.

According to Brooke Crothers over at Forbes, supply chain whispers claim the 16-inch MacBook Pro production is already underway:

Also, a source in Asia who talks to the Apple supply chain told me over the weekend that the 16-inch MBP is in production but the release date is unclear.

Last month, the first two betas of macOS Catalina 10.15.1 hinted at the evidence of a 16-inch MacBook Pro, as renderings were discovered along with code snippets hinting at the new model.

Regardless, expect a 16-inch MacBook Pro to contain Apple’s latest notebook technologies to go with an expensive price tag if it does debut this week.
