Apple Unveils New MacBook Pro with Display Notch, Ports and MagSafe

Apple has debuted a new 14.2” and 16.2” MacBook Pro, which brings back ports including Thunderbolt, HDMI, a headphone jack and also the return of MagSafe.

The new Liquid Retina XDR display supports ProMotion and 120Hz refresh rate, along with 1000 nits brightness and more, taking technology from the iPad Pro’s display. There is indeed a notch in the new displays, which now have 60% thinner bezels.

Ports return as there are now four USB-C ports, HDMI, 3.5mm headphone jack, new MagSafe and SD card slot.

Also are available are new 6-speaker system supporting Spatial Audio and new Macs as well. The front camera is 1080p and has a new wider lens.

The new MacBook Pro will support Apple’s new M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. Battery life is up to 10 hours more than previous MacBook Pro models and longest battery life ever in a Mac computer.

Pricing starts at $1,999 USD for the 14″ MacBook Pro and $2,499 USD for the 16″ MacBook Pro, available in silver and space grey.
