Orders of Early AirPods in Canada Seeing Delayed Delivery Dates Beyond Christmas [u]
Apple launched online sales of AirPods two days ago, with early customers able to get delivery dates as early as December 20th. However, with orders now “Preparing for Shipment”, numerous customers and iPhone in Canada readers are seeing delivery dates delayed, beyond the original date promised when orders were placed.
For our order, which we placed at 6AM PST on launch, the scheduled delivery date was December 23, as shown in our order confirmation email:
Now, checking our order in the Apple Store app, it shows a revised delivery date of December 28, a delay of five days:
Anyone else seeing a delay in their early AirPods order? Hope you didn’t order these expecting them as a Christmas present, as it looks like some might not arrive in time.
Update 3:00PM PST: looks like things are back to normal–our December 23rd arrival date is back.

I got my order confirmation at 9:05am too, dunno how this can happen.
Friend of mine who ordered 30 minutes after me also had Dec 20th ship date, and his still shows the 20th.
Also, it does say preparing to ship. Whenever an Apple order has reached that stage the rest of the progress is usually quite quick.
Ah damn – it just changed to “Processing Items” when it had already said “Preparing to ship”

Im in Montreal and it has switched to Dec 29. There’s not 9 days difference between Toronto and Montreal… max 1 day.
