Alleged iOS 6 Beta Links Released Ahead of WWDC 2012

On the eve of WWDC 2012, it appears official consumer and enterprise Apple download links have been ‘leaked’ for iOS 6 beta on the forums at WeiPhone.com, as noted by MacRumors. Clicking on the reported links result in a message that notes “Your session has expired” from Apple’s Developer program page.

The following devices show download links for iOS 6:

  • iPhone 4, iPhone 4S
  • iPad 2, 3rd generation iPad
  • iPod touch (4th generation)
  • Apple TV second and third generation
  • Others: Safari 6 Developer preview, iOS 6 Beta Guide (PDF), Installing Apple TV Software (PDF)
Here are example ‘leaked’ links for the iPhone:
iPhone
– Consumer: 4S4 (GSM)4 (CDMA)3GS
– Enterprise: 4S4 (GSM)4 (CDMA)3GS

What’s interesting from the links below is that iOS 6 will still support the ‘ancient’ iPhone 3GS. This device still remains a popular model for Apple in lower cost markets and is still available for sale. As for the original iPad, it looks like it will not be included with iOS 6 along with the 3rd generation iPod touch.

Apple confirmed iOS 6 at WWDC 2012 when it put up banners early for the event, revealing the latest version of its mobile operating system.
