Amazon announced new Fire 7 tablets on Wednesday, priced from $79.99 in Canada.
The new Fire 7 tablet has a 30% faster quad-core processor and double the RAM, along with 40% more battery life for up to 10 hours of use, while powered by USB-C for charging. The tablet retains its 7-inch touchscreen that is “twice as durable as the latest iPad Mini in tumble tests,” said the company in an email.
The tablet has 2MP front and rear cameras, while packaging continues to be earth friendly, now featuring 35% post-consumer recycled plastics, while 95% of its packaging is made of wood fiber-based materials sourced from recycled sources or responsibly managed forests, says Amazon.
