Apple’s COVID-19 Customer Assistance Program for Apple Card users has been extended by another month.
According to 9to5Mac, Apple Card customers can enroll in the program and defer payments set for June without incurring any interest, marking the third month in which Apple and Goldman Sachs have allowed such a deferral, due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
In an email to Apple Card users about their statements, Apple says “we understand that the COVID-19 situation poses unique challenges for everyone and some customers may have difficulty making their monthly payments.”
As long as an Apple Card customer has enrolled in the COVID-19 Customer Assistance Program, they are permitted to defer their June payment without incurring any interest charges — provided they have been negatively impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
To enroll in Apple Card’ COVID-19 Customer Assistance Program, open the Wallet app and tap your Apple Card. Now tap the three-dotted menu, then select the message bubble icon to launch chat. Lastly, send a message saying that you would like enroll in the program.
