Apple to Repair Some iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus Units That Won’t Power On

Iphone 6s 6s plus service program

On a Friday afternoon, Apple has announced a new repair program for select iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus units that won’t power on.

“Apple has determined that certain iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus devices may not power on due to a component that may fail. This issue only affects devices within a limited serial number range that were manufactured between October 2018 to August 2019,” explains the company.

Those who believe their iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus may be affected by this issue can enter in their serial number here.

If your device is eligible, Apple will repair it free of charge. If you paid to have your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus repaired over this no power issue, Apple says contact them for a refund.

“The program covers affected iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus devices for 2 years after the first retail sale of the unit,” says Apple.
