‘Apple Watch Series 7’ Appears in Russian Regulatory Filings

As spotted by French website Consomac, Apple has just registered ‘Apple Watch Series 7’ under watchOS 8 with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), a Russian organization that regularly reveals Apple products several weeks ahead of their official launch.

Apple

Products carrying model numbers A2473, A2474, A2475, A2476, A2477, and A2478, however, are not exactly listed as Apple Watches. Although widely believed to be of the next-generation Apple Watch 7, the filings are mostly related to already existing models which will soon receive the upcoming watchOS 8 update.

Here’s what the source says about the EEC listings (translated via Google):

These filings do not allow us to know more about the technical characteristics of the watches in question, but they do confirm that the Apple Watch Series 7 is well on the way and that Apple is already taking the necessary steps to its placing on the market.

We should also expect a new processor that is more powerful and energy efficient. On the other hand, the Apple Watch Series 7 should not integrate new sensors.

Apple is expected to boost the Apple Watch Series 7 battery life with an updated design, while also offering a handful of new colour options.
